ROAD TRIP! (part one)

Grant and Margaret, or Frank and Nancy?

Our cheerleader!

Relay games were a blast. Go Blue Waves!

Yes, we have a tractor boy. He screamed when we pulled him off.

MAYNE FAMILY REUNION

So, I realized I'm not so consistent with this blog thing when it took me four tries to remember my password and get into my blogger acount. I am in the process of repenting - please be patient.
In July of this summer we had a great Mayne (Stacy's family) reunion in Oceanside, OR. Almost all attended, and we sorely missed those who could not (like the yellow-jacket-stung-on-the face-on-the-way to-reunion sister!) Activities enjoyed were relaxing in the very interesting beach house, playing games, frolicking on the beach, building sand castles, seeing the octopus tree, and lunch at Mo's. Enjoy the pictures!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays because of what is represents - how blessed we are to enjoy the freedom America gives.

One of our favorite events on this great day is our neighborhood's annual parade. All of the kids decorate their bikes and scooters with red, white and blue. We meet at the park for donuts, and then the fire department leads everyone all around the neighborhood. What's funny is that, since everyone is in the parade, there are only about a dozen spectators. We finish with popsicles back at the park. Enjoy the pictures of our great morning!

Kids' Day 2007

So, I am finally giving in and starting to add some posts to this blog. Life is good, and I may as well share some of it with all of you!

We enjoyed a wonderful Kids' Day on June 25. For non-Worth readers, Kids' Day is an annual event where we celebrate Gary Worth - the ultimate kid at heart. We get to spoil our wonderful children, and hopefully visit a carousel (one of Gary's favorite attractions). We met up with Stephanie and the girls for a trip down to Salem Riverfront Park, which has a beautiful carousel. And we splurged on some GIANT rainbow lollipops - after all, it's Kids' Day! After some time at the playground and a couple of rides, we headed back to Wilsonville to meet Steve at Red Robin for dinner. We also enjoyed handing out presents to our fantastic boys after we got home (yes, more LEGO).
