The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays because of what is represents - how blessed we are to enjoy the freedom America gives.

One of our favorite events on this great day is our neighborhood's annual parade. All of the kids decorate their bikes and scooters with red, white and blue. We meet at the park for donuts, and then the fire department leads everyone all around the neighborhood. What's funny is that, since everyone is in the parade, there are only about a dozen spectators. We finish with popsicles back at the park. Enjoy the pictures of our great morning!

Hi Carl and Stacy!! I loved seeing the fun parade! You don't see traditional parades like that very often. The only ones I see are full of advertising and not much imagination put into it.

Your boys are so cute! I think it has been 14, 15 years since I have heard anything about you guys. Where are you now? What are you doing? I would love to hear from you, come see me at my blog at

Carl, the go-tee looks good! :)

Hope to hear from you soon,
